Barbados is a Caribbean country surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Hip Hop in Barbados rose relatively recently. English is the official language. Bridgetown, Barbados was the birthplace of Hip Hop legend, Grandmaster Flash.

Poundas (Myspace page) have been described as pioneers of Hip Hop in Barbados. The group is composed of Big Whizurd (Myspace page), Big Pudge (Myspace page), Trezay (Myspace page), and BigShawn. Billy Kincaid (Myspace page) is from Bridgetown and has a reggae feel. Here's a review of his album. Ruby Tech (Myspace page) has collaborated with Billy Kincaid. Dunnz (Myspace page) came up in Barbados.
